Where is the Bronte Tennis Club located?

The Bronte Tennis Club is in West Oakville and is adjacent to the Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre.

What Junior programs does the Academy offer at the Bronte Tennis Club?

The Academy offers both recreational and competitive level junior programming at the Bronte location. Most of the players in the competitve program moved from the recreational programs. If you are new to the club, and have a child who has received coaching elsewhere, we can assess them and determine which programs they are suitable for.

  • What programs do you offer for the Recreational (beginner to intermediate) level juniors?

  • Junior Spring Clinics start the week of May 5th. These are 6-week programs, one hour per week with a max of 6 juniors per court. Players are grouped according to age and ability. Tennis fundamentals are taught Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday at either 4:30 or 5:30 pm. Please note that lessons still run on holidays.
  • Fee $75
  • High School Academy starts on Saturday May 10th. This program is geared to teenagers and runs for 6 weeks from 12-1pm. Fundamentals and game situations are covered. Please note that lessons still run on holidays.
  • Fee $75

  • Summer Campsare one week programs that run Monday through Friday from 1-3 pm. There are a maximum of 6 students per court with an instructor. Everything from fundamentals to strategy is covered. Game situations are also played at the end of each day. The first camp is scheduled for the week of June 30th and run weekly through the summer holidays. Please note that camps do run on the holiday Mondays.   • What Competitive level programs do you offer to juniors?

  • The Bronte Tennis Club offers three levels of competitive Academy programming (Pee Wee Pro's, Junior Tournament Squad and Senior Tournament Squad). The majority of players that attend the Senior Tournament Squad recieve NCAA Division I & II athletic scholarships. Most participants in the Competitive programs have moved up from the Recreational programs. What Adult programs are offered to members at the Bronte Tennis Club?

Bronte Tennis Club offers a large variety of instructional programs for adults.

Adult Clinics swing into gear on May 5th. These 6 week programs in May run one hour per week with a maximum of 6 adults per court. Players will learn the basics of the game, strategy and positioning at 7:30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, also on Saturday morning at 9, 10, or 11am. Various skill levels.

Adult Day Clinics are again being offered. They run for 6 weeks starting on Tuesday, May 6th from 11:00-12:00 noon for Advanced Beginners and Thursday May May 8th from 11-12 noon for Beginners.

Adult Camps will again be offered this year. These are intensive one week programs, 2 hours per day with a max of 4 players. This is open to the advanced beginner through to the intermediate player. Camps run the weeks of May 12th and 20th. Time 12:30-2:30 pm.
$125 for the 12th and $100 for the 20th (four days only).

Ladies Doubles Practice is specifically geared to improving positioning, strategy and shot selection in doubles. Offered on Friday mornings from 10:30-12 noon beginning May 9th for 4 weeks.

Men's Doubles Practice is a new program being offered this year. Drills are based on proper positioning and strategy. Four week program beginning Saturday May 10th from 1-2:30 pm.

TEN-FIT! Are you determined to get fit this summer? Why not do it by playing tennis? This high energy, 90 minute workout is for the player who is willing to sweat a lot! Ten students with 2 pro's.is a combination between Tennis and Fitness class. This high energy, 90 minute workout is for the player who is willing to sweat a lot! Ten students with 2 pro’s. Sundays from 9-10:30 am for the 3.5-4.0 player. Sundays from 10:30-12 noon for the 4.0-4.5 player. Starts May 11th.
$72 (please specify on the registration form if you are signing up for the May, June, and/or July sessions).

Are private lessons available? If so, how much do they cost?

  • Private lessons are available with several pro's at the club. Private lessons are the most effective way to learn. Students generally see the most dramatic improvment when taking Privates because the individual needs of the player can be determined and addressed.
